Welcome to Stove Top Revolution, a particularly delicious place to procrastinate.
My name is Sophie, I'm twentysomething, please don't hold that against me. I'm deputy editor at Broadsheet Sydney. Previously I've worked for Gourmet Traveller WINE and as a freelance restaurant and bar critic for Time Out Sydney. I also contribute to Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine, and www.dailysydney.com.
I live in Sydney, Australia, in a bright green house on a leafy and little bit dodgy inner-city street with four of my best mates and six pots of herbs.
This blog was started in early 2010, initially as a place to record the recipes that I kept losing within a giant folder. Slowly but surely, it has evolved over the years into its own beast, and in June 2012 I was awarded Food Blogger of the Year in the Ultrabook Pedestrian.TV Blogster Awards.
Here you'll find stories and memories, recipes and tips, interviews and photography, travel field notes and tidbits from the web.
I love food - eating, cooking and talking about it. Welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy.

ReplyDeleteI'm a stranger who type in Zuchini and found your page. Love the Passion for great food and lovely wine. I am the person who eats my boyfriends tasty creations with no complaints. So I Cheer to terrific, passionate Cooks. who cook to see the looks in our faces who eat their food. Rock on!
ReplyDeletePhoto quality is superb. Nice work, from top to bottom.
ReplyDeleteI am also a stranger, however i feel as if we must have grown up together as our family has an uncanny love for soft cheese and force feeding our friends and loved ones!
ReplyDeleteYour selection of recipies is awesome and you have rocked my world with the no stir risotto which i have already passed onto everyone i have seen since making it..

Sophie,
ReplyDeleteWould you like some samples of seasonings from Dizzy Pig, an all-natural rub company located in the U.S.? We would love for you to try them and possibly write about them. If you're interested please email me at heather@dizzypigbbq.com.
Cheers!

Hi Sophie, Love the blog, was sent a link by Mal. We are a homewares design company so if you want to use any of our stuff for presenting your food, or you have a great idea for a product that is missing from the kitchen, get in touch. Is there an easy way to scan recipes in, or do you have to re-type them? I have tons of family recipes I've collected and would love to create a place for them to live.. Cheers, Tony
ReplyDeleteHi Tony thanks for visiting! I do retype the recipes because I like to put most things into my own words (and for copyright reasons) but i'm sure you could scan them if you wanted to? Especially if they're family recipes.
DeleteI just discovered your blog Sophie. Love your work!
